How does professional coaching work?

Most individual clients are coached two or three times a month for several months by telephone, but may meet with the coach from time to time. Coaching can also be done in person at a mutually-convenient location, or at your workplace if your company sponsors your coaching.

Coaching can also occur in a group setting by phone or in person, with each person working on his or her own goals, reporting progress to the group, and having their support as well as that of the coach. New groups form every few months, so let Jeanne know if you are interested in this option.

Through our combined efforts, collaborative coaching creates an outcome that is more than the sum of the parts. You contribute desire to expand life, responsibility for what you want, energy to take action, and talent. I contribute clarity and expertise. Together we remove barriers to your goals and move you forward to a more fulfilling life.

Why be coached?

Life offers challenges and barriers that require us to adapt. These crossroads and transitions can lead to new passion and joy in life, or foreclose your identity and leave your trapped financially, socially, and emotionally! A coach will keep you on track toward your goals so you win a new future, not lose your life.

Am I the right kind of client for coaching?

Collaborative coaching is for you if you feel stuck and you want to move ahead. It is for you if you want to have life in balance, time to play, and also have success. Sessions are conducted in English. If you have serious mental health problems, therapy may be a better alternative for you until that challenge is resolved.

What does it cost?

Cost varies depending on whether it is by phone (cheaper) or in person (more expensive). Many clients buy packages of sessions for a discount on price. Your employer can also provide your coaching as a benefit or wellness activity. Online assessments cost small additional fees.

Is it confidential?

The content of coaching sessions is confidential, as is your identity as a client. Those in a coaching group will meet in person or get to know one another by phone, but the content of group sessions is confidential, as is the identity of the other members.
